About PrivateMediaPro

An independent guide for people who take their downloaded collections seriously.

I got to the point where I had a massive collection and was still using Finder to browse it and VLC to play it. It was a mess. I went looking for something better and couldn't find a single honest resource that covered the options properly — so I built this site to do exactly that.

Most of what exists online is either outdated forum posts, vague Reddit threads, or thinly disguised product pages. Nobody had done a proper, honest comparison of the tools that actually exist for this use case.

What This Site Covers

PrivateMediaPro covers desktop video players and tools for large local adult video collections — specifically for people who download and store their own content rather than streaming. The focus is on:

  • Honest reviews of every serious player option (VidVana, Stash, VLC, SiftVid)
  • Setup guides for gooning sessions, goon wall grids, and hands-free automation
  • Privacy and encryption guides for keeping your collection genuinely private
  • Library management — folder structure, metadata, Stash integration

Editorial Approach

I write about what I actually tested. Where something has real limitations, I say so. Where a free option is genuinely good enough, I say that too. The goal is a useful answer, not a flattering one.

VidVana gets the most coverage here because it's the newest entrant in this space and the least written-about — there's almost nothing about it online yet. Stash is genuinely excellent at what it does and I say so clearly. VLC is a perfectly good starting point for most people and I say that too.

Privacy

This site collects no personal data, sets no cookies, and runs no tracking scripts. There is no account system, no newsletter, and no analytics that identifies individual visitors. The site is static — it does not log your visits or what you read.

Where This Goes

If you find something wrong or outdated, let me know — I'd rather fix it than leave bad information up. And if this gets enough readers, I'll keep adding to it: more players as they come out, deeper guides, tools I haven't had time to cover yet. There's more worth writing about in this space.
